No single formula
A single composite score would hide the judgement inside it. Scholaris therefore publishes distinct rankings — citation impact, field-normalised impact, recent impact, open-access discovery and cross-database recognition — and states what each one measures.
Raw citation counts from different databases are displayed separately and never summed into one figure.
Limitations
Citation counts favour older publications and disciplines with dense citation practices. Field normalisation reduces but does not remove this effect.
Coverage varies by discipline, language and region. Absence of a record is not evidence of absence of scholarship.
Every published ranking states its methodology version and the date its inputs were retrieved.
